Well, credit the Rams' brass; they're not wasting any time in getting to roster moves.
In a somewhat surprising decision, the Rams released RB Daryl Richardson today. Also gone were DT Jermelle Cudjo, offensive linemen Graham Pocic and recent UDFA signee OT Emmanuel McCray.
The Richardson pick carries a bit of shock with it. Just nine months ago, DRich was named the starting running back for this team going into week one. Need a reminder how quickly so much can change? Head over to the comments here. What had the makings of a pretty great story as a unheralded prospect turned productive pro back now just turns into another example of long odds being such for a reason.
Cudjo had given the Rams a few years as a glue guy. He never found a way to crack into significant playing time, but I know I've got a few good memories of him.
Pocic and McCray on the other hand leave the Rams without having made much of a public impact.
The NFL can be a whirlwind. Today, these four caught the worse side of things. Here's to hoping they can better days somewhere else.
