If you're going to get picked by the St. Louis Rams in the NFL Draft, you're going to have to answer some tough questions. Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson recounted some of his meetings with teams this week at the Combine, including the Rams. And they didn't hold anything back during their session together.
The Rams did not treat him gently. They showed him video of some of his worst plays of the season against LSU. Veteran offensive line coach Paul Boudreau wanted to know what the hell he was thinking. "Before they could finish, I explained," Robinson said. "It was early in the year. I manned up. I didn't make any excuses."
Nice. It's nice to see that the Rams aren't going into a meeting with a player and vomiting up corporate motivational speak, a la the Browns who asked Robinson which triangles he valued most.
They could have put him on the white board and had him break down Brian Schottenheimer's offensive scheme, but that's one of those things were every answer is wrong. No need to trick the poor kid.
And they certainly aren't giving the kid the Jeff Ireland-on-Dez Bryant treatment, thankfully.
