Random Ramsdom 2/10: Twelve days till the NFL Combine and many more till football

Good morning, Rams nation, and welcome to the all terrible void known as life without football. It's cold, it's dark, it's lonely and it measures a great distance.

With yet another offseason now underway -- following yet another losing season -- the St. Louis Rams are once again poised for another eventful and exciting spring. Rinse and repeat. It's what we do.

Twelve days from now, the NFL Combine kicks off with full Rich Eisen commentary and endless Mike Mayock analysis. The next round of Todd McShay v. Mel Kiper has begun. And it's going to be awesome.

University of Missouri defensive end Michael Sam, a 2013 All American, made headlines in a new way last night after revealing that he is gay. I think I speak for everyone here when I say this news should cause no damage to Sam's draft stock and/or his reputation as a good football player. More from ESPN.

The story now isn't Sams decision nor NFL statement applauding it. Its  how 32 teams choose to deal with it. World is watching gentlemen
