Saturday NFL Open Thread: Eagles, Skins in the early game. Chargers, 49ers to follow

The NFL has provided us with an early Christmas present...a rare Saturday double-header. Tune in, chime in, on the Eagles at Redskins and Chargers at 49ers games....

It’s not often you get to see an NFL game on a Saturday evening.  It’s even more rare to see two.  But that’s exactly what you’ll get in Week 16.

The Eagles [9-5] are visiting the Redskins [3-11] in Landover, MD.  The game kicks off at 4:30p ET. The Eagles, just a game back of Dallas, are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.  The Redskins, however, are...well...in a state of turmoil [surprise!].  The head coach, Jay Gruden, and QB, Robert Griffin III, aren’t on the same page.  Maybe Michael Vick is the answer...

Can DeSean Jackson ball out against his old team at home?  He’s got some old fans with some new jerseys...

At 8:25pm ET the San Diego Chargers take on the San Francisco 49ers in Levi’s Stadium.  The Chargers are still in the thick of things in the AFC Wild Card race, but they’re on the outside looking in.  The 49ers are out of it.  Jim Harbaugh won’t be their head coach in 2015.  Maybe Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will...
