Rams-Cardinals Live Thread

The 3-5 Rams head to Arizona hoping to hang on to optimism of the 2014 season.

Last gasps. The Rams are clinging to the last vestiges of optimism that carried through the preseason.

Sitting a 3-5, the Rams are at the bottom of the NFC West needing a big win over divisional foes Arizona today to keep pace with the middle of the NFC. It's going to require a serious effort. The Cardinals, at 7-1 and leading the way in the NFC, haven't dropped any easy games this year. The lone blemish on their record was a drubbing courtesy of Peyton Manning and the Broncos who are capable of providing such to just about every team in the NFL.

Specifically for the Rams, it's likely going to require an order of offense greater than what they've shown the last two weeks. Combined between the Kansas City and San Francisco contests, Austin Davis went 28/49 for 265 yards for 2 TDs and 3 INTs. That's not going to cut it.

So it's another chance to prove the character of this team. A week ago similarly up against the same wall, the Rams pulled out a gritty win in San Francisco.

An equal result today might be enough to turn the tide and put the Rams on the right path for perhaps the first time this season...
