Rams-Broncos: Open Thread

The Rams' 2014 season trudges on with a tough challenge in the Broncos who come to St. Louis today.

Well, here we go. It's week 11. The top of the NFL is working to flesh out their playoff runs. The bottom is keeping tabs on the draft order. The Rams are stuck in the limbo of mediocrity, winning enough games to avoid the cellar of the NFL, losing enough to avoid the playoffs.

It's a hard knock life.

So it is as the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning come to St. Louis today trying to extend their 7-2 record toward double digit wins to stay ahead of the pack in the AFC West.

The Rams, at 3-6, have today's game and a road trip to San Diego close out the Octet of Pain, that vaunted eight-game stretch in the middle of the 2014 season during which they've gone 2-4.

It's going to take something special from the Rams to even keep this one close, today. Peyton's tossing with the league's second-best passing attack in yards per game while the Rams' offense has been pretty inept the last three weeks.

In any case, the Rams have seven games to see out the 2014 season...and built something for 2015.
