We Will Rally Around Knopoe St. Ceazun and Play Some Good Football

Hats off to the Rams fans who are looking forward to a 2014 post-season appearance. You have the gift of hope, maybe even faith, prophecy hopefully. Wonderful treasures all are they. Wisdom is a gift too. She cries out in the streets for those with ears to hear. She is saying, " The Rams have shown potential. 3 more wins and another 4 of 6 from Denver, Arizona, @ San Fran, @ Arizona, @ San Diego, @ Seattle would get you 9 wins ~ the Rams have not shown that they can do this. It would only be 9 wins anyway, that won't get you into the playoffs. " That's what she said.

Wisdom says the Rams aren't going to the playoffs. Hope essentially agrees to disagree with her. What would faith do ? I have no idea. As for prophecy , whether we will be going to the playoffs or not will not be a fact until the end of the season, or at least until the 11th or 12th week. We do have the following fact ~ no smart money is betting that we will. So what shalt we do ? One option is to play our younger players to see what they can do, this is worthy of consideration .....

Not long ago, I beheld the Angel's

who had their playoff position locked, vs. the Astro's, who had already been eliminated from post-season play. LA to Anaheim traffic being what it is, I didn't show up until the 6th inning. The first 7 Angel batters I saw got on base in route to somewhere around a 7-10 run inning, I lost count and interest. There may have been a home run in there too. The Astro's coach didn't come to the mound or even feign any interest. I wanted to be excited, Liam, my nephew, he was very excited. My older sister was too, but that's another story. I didn't point out to Liam that since the Astro's weren't going to the playoffs they had their younger pitchers playing to see what they could do. That it wasn't really a real game tonight. Is this what we want to see in a Ram's game ? In case the rhetorical intent wasn't clear, the answer we're looking for here is no, we don't want to see this in a Rams game.

Another option is the high draft pick. I've heard that lots of high draft picks can be great. Playing for them though, that sure sends up some red flags. Still, I really want 'em. In weaker moments and desperate times such as these, it is not uncommon for people to look to the Divine. A little bit of sincere searching quelled the hope that, " The last shall be first ", is to be interpreted as an inspiration to ~ lose for Wins, cluck for the Duck, hurl for Hundley. That propostion was countered with, " Let your ' yes ' be ' yes ', and your ' no ' be ' no '. No stretching is required to apply that to football or anything. And with TST's reverence for the presser, the following can just never be ~

" Coach Fisher, are you intentionally losing to attain even more high draft picks ? "

" Yes "

We also have this option ~ " Good servant, you were faithful with the little you had ". No stretching required here either. What we have is potential, a lot of injures, inexperience, we all know the list better than we want to. So what we do with what we have is rally around it, no matter how little it may be, post-season or kno, and we play some good football, the best football we can and be a little light for all the Liam's watching & looking for their way.
