Random Ramsdom: October 6: St. Louis Rams - Nuke The Niners

New, comments

It's getting to be a habit, reporting the same things every Monday after a Rams game: Penalties, drops, blown coverages, turnovers, sloppy play, and blown blocking assignments. They all add up to another loss, and not the best way to begin the stretch known as the "Octet of Pain". If the Rams are going to beat the 49'ers in their MNF encounter, all of these issues will need to be remedied...and fast.

Austin Davis impressive again in loss: ESPN NFL Nation

Coach Jeff Fisher had nothing but praise for the efforts of QB Austin Davis, in the loss to the Eagles:

"He was calm and collected and so focused on what he needed to do. He was not flustered at all. He took some hits and we’ve got to get that corrected. But he knows the position is difficult to play and he can overcome that mistake. I think that’s the mark of a fine young quarterback."
