Aaron Donald leads shorter list of injured Rams for Week 9 (UPDATED)

The St. Louis Rams just finished up Friday's practice session, and head coach Jeff Fisher gave the latest update on a handful of injured players. Janoris Jenkins, Rodney McLeod and Aaron Donald were all listed as questionable on Friday's practice report, leaving their status in doubt for this week's game.

Donald was a surprise addition to Thursday's injury report. He didn't practice at all, along with Saffold, Jenkins and Cody Davis. Fisher was tight-lipped about the status of all his banged up guys, but Donald was reportedly dealing with a shoulder injury of some kind that kept him.

Rodger Saffold was practicing. So were Kenny Britt, Trumaine Johnson, LaMarcuse Joyner and William Hayes. They're listed as probable. That means the Rams offensive line could look similar to earlier versions of the unit from last week, making Davin Joseph the only fill-in, with Wells and Saffold back in action. For those of you keeping score, the OL would look like this: LT - Greg Robinson, LG - Joseph, C - Wells, RG - Rodger Saffold and RT - Barksdale.

Some of the week's other casualties were back in action on Thursday. William Hayes, Scott Wells, Kenny Britt and LaMarcus Joyner were all listed as full participants in practice a day ago, which bodes well for their ability to play this week.

Left tackle Jake Long and wide receiver Brian Quick went down in last week's loss to the Chiefs too. Their seasons were pronounced over earlier in the week when the Rams placed both players on the team's burgeoning injured reserve list. That list now contains roughly a third of the team's salary cap this season.
