Welp. The Octet of Pain rolls on.
The Rams travel to San Francisco for a late Sunday clash with the 49ers. This comes nearly three weeks after Colin Kaepernick and crew came to St. Louis for Monday Night Football back in week 6. With the GSOT celebrations hyping up the pre-game fesitvities, the Rams jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Then things happened...
So it's not surprising that the oddsmakers set the spread at 7.5, giving the Rams a full touchdowns' worth cushion plus some. Since the line opened though, the money has poured into the San Fran side and is up to 10 points according to most.
Sure, part of that has to do with the fact that the Rams are coming off of an embarrassing loss that has the roster pockmarked with injuries. It doesn't help the Rams' cause that the Niners are coming off of a bye week to prepare for this one.
But when you're the team being given double digit points by the oddsmakers, things are not going well.
