Rams-Seahawks: Wednesday Injury Report

New, comments

The early week injury report gives us an update on the existing injuries...and some new additions.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday's practice, the first of the customary three game-week practices, gave us our initial injury status. There are some new issues of concern...

Name POS Injury Practice Status
Ethan Westbrooks DE Hand DNP
Tim Barnes C Shoulder DNP
Alex Carrington DT Knee DNP
Zac Stacy RB Ankle DNP
Austin Pettis WR Ankle DNP
Chase Reynolds RB Thigh Limited
Brandon McGee CB Foot Limited
Trumaine Johnson CB Knee Limited
Barrett Jones C Back Full

Oftentimes, the early week non-participants sit out out of cautionary concerns and not necessarily the actual severity of the injury. Bear in mind that during last week's practices, Zac Stacy, Kenny Britt, Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Eugene Sims all sat out at least one practice and all of them were a go for Monday Night Football. Still, to start the week with five guys sidelined raises the eyebrows.

On the better side of things, McGee and Tru look headed back soon. If they're both ready for Seattle on Sunday, it would be the first game this year that the entire cornerback stable is available. Good look guessing how that rotation would work.

And Barrett Jones is finally a full go to start the week. We'll have to see if he gets a Greg Robinson-ish opportunity on Sunday to supplant Scott Wells.

All in all, it's a relatively favorable start to the work week for the Rams. For a franchise that had seasons completely de-railed by injury, 2014 isn't providing that as an excuse.
