A true leader, even when wounded:
Can't wait to be healthy and do what I can to help us win. We can + will be so good. Don't need you to believe me. If you do, thank you.

Looks like Chris Long is progressing well in many different areas:
.@JOEL9ONE staying on top of the fashion game in this month's GQ but took a hit when he shed his walking boot recently. Making progress.

ESPN's Louis Riddick was on a roll these past few days. I have to agree with all three of his assertions:
Would love to hear a logical explanation as to how #Rams rookie Greg Robinson is not worthy of more than 9 offensive snaps on that OL.

The writing is on the wall with Jake Long. Just watch him play. It tells you all you need to know.

It's a widely held belief that winning the turnover battle is important to a teams success on the field. The Rams finished with 7 wins in 2013. The team had a positive turnover differential in 6 of those wins, and a zero differential in the other victory. Overall, the Rams finished 9'th in Turnover Differential (plus +8) last season. In 2013, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks led the NFL in this key statistic. This season, the Rams are tied for 25'th in the league in Team Turnover Differential (minus -3). Turnovers have played a significant role in all three of the Rams losses to-date.

Rams' QB Discovery Impresses 49ers Coaches: SF GATE
Even 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has been impressed with the emergence of Rams QB Austin Davis:
"It was one of the rare times where I’ve watched coaches’ tape and been excited about the game. This was a quarterback that was making throws, an offense that was making plays. And then the last drive, they had a chance to win the game and I’m like, 'Maybe they got the score wrong. Maybe the Rams really won this game."
On This Day In Sports History
1996 - New York Jets kicker Nick Lowery breaks Jan Stenerud's NFL field goal record at 374.
1903 - The Boston Americans defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5 games to 3 - in a best of 9 series - to win the first modern World Series.
Rams Legends: DE - Fred Dryer
Fred Dryer was the complete package at defensive end, equally adept at rushing the passer and defending the run. Dryer was a colorful, personable player, who went on to an acting career after an illustrious 13 years in the NFL (10 with the Rams). A two-time All-Pro and one-time Pro Bowler, Dryer ended his career with 104 career sacks, although since he played prior to 1982 when sacks became an official statistic, they are not credited in the NFL record books. Dryer played on a tough Los Angeles Ram defense that during the decade of the 1970s, allowed fewer points, fewer total yards, fewer rushing yards, and sacked more quarterbacks than any other defense during that time-frame.
The following video is a tribute to one of the best defensive linemen in Rams history:

With the season spiralling out of control, Fisher remains a rock of stability: Sports Illustrated
"We know the NFL is a cold business. One of the reasons Fisher’s players love strapping it on for him is that he tries, possibly harder than anyone in the league, to warm it up a little."

49ers' Reid ready for Rams' quarterback: USA Today
QB Austin Davis' fearlessness has not been lost on S Eric Reid or on coach Jim Harbaugh:
"He's got a knack of throwing the ball in traffic. He can have guys hanging on him, around him, and he's able to get the ball out at the last second. Playing with no conscious about throwing the ball down the field and deep."
