Rams-49ers: Official Monday Night Football Injury Report

The Rams' injury report ahead of Monday Night Football is longer than it has been in 2014, but things are looking up.

Ron Schwane-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams have wrapped up their final practice ahead of the Monday Night Football clash with San Francisco, and with it comes the final injury report going into the game:

Name POS Injury Practice Status Game Designation
Trumaine Johnson CB Knee DNP Out
Brandon McGee CB Foot DNP Out
Alex Carrington DE Knee DNP Questionable
Barrett Jones C Back Limited Questionable
Jo-Lonn Dunbar LB Groin Limited Questionable
Chase Reynolds RB Hip DNP Questionable
Eugene Sims DE Groin Full Probable
Kenny Britt DE Knee Full Probable
Zac Stacy RB Calf Full Probable

A couple additions to the list with some injuries that came during the week made this the longest of the year, but there's optimism here. First, let's take the major injuries.

Tru and Brandon McGee aren't even in practice yet, so I'd count them out of next week as well. And no update on Chris Long obviously since he's on IR and not included in the report.

As for the questionables, Carrington and Reynolds are almost certainly out having missed practice today. Reynolds picked up the hip injury yesterday, so we'll have to see if there's a special teams impact...although coming off of the Eagles game, perhaps the worst of his career, it's a bit of an untimely assessment. Dunbar actually sat out yesterday but was able to get some work in today, so who knows. And as for Barrett Jones, he seems close. You wonder f the coaching staff is just not yet ready to plug in guys like Jones or #2 overall pick Greg Robinson.

Of course the probable status is generally just lip service, so expect Sims, Britt and Stacy all to feature as normal on Monday. Bear in mind they're dealing with these, so a big hit or additional strain may take them out.

As for the Niners, here's their report:

Name POS Injury Practice Status Game Designation
Tramaine Brock CB Toe DNP Out
Anthony Davis T Knee/Ankle DNP Questionable
Vernon Davis TE Back Limited Questionable
Marcus Martin C Knee Limited Questionable
Nick Moody LB Hamstring Limited Questionable
Justin Smith DE Not Injury Related Full Probable
Tony Jerod-Eddie DE Shoulder Full Probable
Ray McDonald DE Knee Full Probable
Ian Williams DT Ankle Full Probable
Andy Lee P Right Ankle Full Probable
Chris Cook CB Quadricep Full Probable

Some big questions for the Niners with key Davises on their report as both RT Anthony and TE Vernon are up in the air.

So we'll have to see how things develop throughout Monday into the game with some key players whose status is yet to be determined. Game time decisions are just that.
