The Rams are finished with Wednesday's practice with two more sessions coming the next two days before the team heads to Philadelphia. Here's the lowdown.
Austin Davis Named Starting QB
Not surprising really, but it puts to rest any fears that Fisher was serious about Hill being the starter when healthy (he wasn't serious about it). More important is Fisher's suggestion that Davis has a pretty long leash moving forward and the class Shaun Hill is providing along with it.
Jeff Fisher announces that he informed Austin Davis that he is the starting quarterback this morning. Says no short hook moving forward.

QB Shaun Hill taking demotion about as well as can be expected. Acknowledged frustration but said he'll do what he can to help Davis.

FWIW, OL Barrett Jones was in uniform and helmet doing work on the side during practice. Spoke to him after, he's close to return.

Good news on Jones and Austin who was able to participate in some fashion. And seeing Tru on a treadmill is a positive sign as well.
Overall, the Rams are doing ok on the injury front. We'll see how things progress for Tavon, Tru and Jones this week, but the real concerns now turn to McGee and the timeline for the return of Chris Long.
