The biggest issue for the St. Louis Rams defense is their secondary. Some people will point to the Rams corner backs for their inconsistent play. While that's true, would head coach Jeff Fisher draft a corner back high, even though it seems that he's confident in young rookie outside corners Trumaine Johnson and Janoris Jenkins?
Maybe, but it's doubtful; but the Rams really do need a free safety. The roster is devoid of a player with elite range or with the ability to cover effectively. The Rams discovered Rodney McLeod, and he could have a good career, but will it be as a backup or starter?
So what safeties will the Rams be looking at in the 2014 NFL Draft? Well, our sister site Mocking The Draft recently made list of their top prospects by position, so here's writer Matthew Fairburn list of safeties.

The top 2 safeties, Alabama's' Ha'Sean "HaHa" Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor are both top tier players with everyone else being a notch below in talent. If the Rams choose not to draft one of those two players, they should easily find a safety to fit their need.
This week, be on the look out for Ahmad Dixon and Jimmie Ward - both are players who will be performing at the Senior Bowl this weekend.
So which of these 24 safeties would you like the Rams to select in the draft this May?
