The inactive list for Sunday's season opener between the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals is out. There are a handful of injured players on the shelf this week, including Rams safety Darian Stewart. Here's the list of names sitting out this week:
Rams: S Darian Stewart, CB Quinton Pointer, LB Jonathan Stewart, TE Cory Harkey, OL Barrett Jones, OL Brandon Washington, DE Gerald Rivers
Cardinals:
Sowell T&TE. RT @Cardschatter: #AzCardinals inactives: RB RWilliams, CB Fleming, LB Okafor, DT Ta’amu, T Massie, G Watford, TE Housler.

Teams are only allowed to have 46 players from their 53-man roster dressed on game days. It's usually a list of players dealing with injuries or buried on the depth chart.
Arizona is starting the season thin in one key area: the offensive line. First-round pick Jonathan Cooper, a guard, was drafted to beef up the line's sagging fortunes from recent seasons. He broke his leg in the preseason, and is now out for the year.
The Rams were lucky enough to avoid major injuries in the exhibition season and training camp. Stewart is the most notable player hurt last month, sidelined by the recurring hamstring injury that's dogged his career in the past.
