Plenty of football left to check out tonight.
West Virginia at #16 Oklahoma (7:00 p.m., FOX)
Well the vaunted Holgorsen-coached offense certainly looked vulnerable last week against William & Mary. Of course when you send Geno Smith, Stedman Bailey and human electrical current Tavon Austin, a week one letdown isn't all that surprising. Transferred RB Charles Sims looked as good as advertised.
On the Oklahoma side, there's plenty for Rams fans to be interested in. WR Jalen Saunders, RB Damien Williams, C Gabe Ikard and OLB Corey Nelson could all be factors for the Rams in April.
#15 Texas at BYU (7:00 p.m., ESPN2)
Texas is stacked, but their offerings don't match up well for the Rams. Keep an eye on WR Mike Davis. He could have a breakout year. We should get a decent look at them the next two weeks as they invite an Ole Miss team stacked with young talent to Austin next Saturday.
For BYU, the top two to check out are OLB Kyle Van Noy and WR Cody Hoffman. Both could be early selections next year.
#14 Notre Dame at #17 Michigan (8:00 p.m., ESPN)
Get your viewing in on this one, because it's going away for a while. We just can't have nice things. Notre Dame's D-line is stacked, so it's worth getting a look in because they'll definitely be sending Sunday starters to the league. G Zack Martin should be in Rams fans' sights as well.
Michigan is still putting it together under Brady Hoke, but OT Taylor Lewan could be a top 10 guy. And it's worth checking out just to see how QB Devin Gardner looks against this defense.
Let's get some scouting in, folks.
