49ers vs. Rams, Thursday Night Football: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming and more

The St. Louis Rams make their prime debut for the 2013 season with a tough division matchup against the visiting 49ers.

US PRESSWIRE

Two teams with big expectations, two teams with disappointing results so far. The San Francisco 49ers land in St. Louis this week for the Thursday night game against the Rams. The winner will be one step closer to getting their season back on track and trying to keep pace with the high flying Seahawks in the NFC West.

The Rams and the 49ers have a long rivalry. However, it's tapered off in recent seasons with both teams in various states of flux. The 2012 49ers, the NFC Champs, stumbled against the Rams last year. The first meeting, in San Francisco, ended in a draw. The second one, the Rams emerged victorious after a double overtime thriller.

Both of these teams are talented. And  they matchup well, ideally anyway, on the offensive and defensive lines. The Rams controlled the trenches last year, and will need to again this year to get an edge and point the team's trend line back in the right direction.

It has all the ingredients for a good game.
