The St. Louis Rams will finally begin their conquest for the NFC West crown starting tonight when they play the Cleveland Browns. There were a few Rams that couldn't make the trip.

According to beat writer Jim Thomas these are the Rams inactives. Tight end Lance Kendricks and defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo aren't surprises since they haven't been practicing since training camp began. Other players who you won't see play against the Browns are safety Matt Daniels, receiver Andrew Helmick, linebackers Sammy Brown and Jabara Williams, and lastly RB Terrance Ganaway.

Each of these players are looking to fight for their position, besides veteran Kendricks, who figures to have a lot of snaps even though veteran newcomer Jared Cook is ahead of him on the depth chart. For the rest of the players on this list they will have to work harder to convince coaches that they are good enough to be on the roster.

Running back Isaiah Pead should see more time since Ganaway isn't playing. It will be interesting to see how many snaps rookie Zac Stacy will get and if he will impress when he's in. Anohter player to watch is undrafted free agent Ray Ray Armstrong, who the Rams will be playing at linebacker tonight after he played safety in college.
