He is ours. Jake Long is a Ram.
After long negotiations, the Rams have signed Jake Long to a 4 year deal for $36 million.
Less than market price for a premium LT. Les Snead you are the best.
Jake Long becomes the third person to choose St. Louis over Miami along with Jeff Fisher and Jared Cook. Fisher convinced Long that St. Louis is the place for him to be if he wants to win football games.

Ed Werder is also reporting that Long turned down more money to sign with the Rams.

If that doesn't speak to the new winning direction this football team is on I don't know what does. The Rams are finally on the right path. Finally.
Jake Long will be the new Rams left tackle, which will move Roger Saffold over to RT, a position he played in college. This is a tremendous upgrade for the St. Louis Rams. They are one good guard away from having a great offensive line.
Long went to four Pro Bowls in his first four seasons in the league, but he has been dealing with injuries the last couple of years, which has hurt his play. This should not be a big concern for Rams fans, as the Rams put Jake through a very extensive physical during his three day visit with the team. Obviously, his health checks out.
I can't express this enough. The Rams won big here. This is huge for the future of the franchise. Now if Snead and Demoff bring in some WR talent, the Rams may be close to something special. Something very special.
