Les Snead giveth, Les Snead taketh away. Bob Glauber of Newsday was on twitter talking about the Rams and Jake Long, and it appears Rodger Saffold might be none-to-happy-about it:
Potential fallout in event Rams sign Jake Long as left tackle: Incumbent LT Rodger Saffold likely will ask for trade.

Of course, this is all speculation. Long is in St. Louis right now, going through his physical, meeting with the team, etc. But from Saffold's point of view, it makes sense. He's an established left tackle, he has the support of Bill Polian and is entering a contract year. Why would he want to be replaced? Hell, I don't like it when people cut me when I'm in line at Chipolte. I can't imagine how he is feeling.
Injury issues don't seem to concern teams as long as the player can pass a physical (just ask the Rams; Louis Delmas and Jake Long both have had multiple injuries). However, don't expect the Rams to bring home the bacon if Saffold is moved. If teams know he's likely to be traded, they'll just wait until he's released by the team. Anquan Boldin only brought in a 6th rounder, and that might've been merely a brotherly favor.
