The Baltimore Ravens traded receiver Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers. To fill his shoes, John Harbaugh's team is looking at Danny Amendola.
According to the Baltimore Sun, there's talk about Amendola being a "scheme" fit and that the Ravens have "some interest in is St. Louis Rams free agent."
The big question here is whether the Ravens can afford Amendola. Danny want's a contract in lines of what Miami' Dolphins Brian Hartline got. Ya know, somewhere in the lines of $6 million per year. For what it's worth, that was what Anquan in line to make with the team. Let's see if they're willing to pay his possible replacement that much.
Amendola is 5 years younger than Boldin (27, 32 respectively), but he comes with his own set of issues. Danny has had a case of the injury bug these past few seasons.
In 11 games last season, Amendola made 63 catches for 666 yards along with three touchdowns. In 2010, he had 85 receptions, 689 yards and three scores.
He played in only one game in the 2011 season.
