Well, there's plenty to get into today well ahead of the marquee matchup this evening.
Here are your notes for the day from Mocking the Draft.
#24 Nebraska at Minnesota (12:00 p.m., ESPN)
If you haven't seen Minnesota DT RaShede Hageman, get in here. He could be round one material. Rams fans will want to see him going against the Cornhusker's offensive line with OT Jeremiah Sirles. G Spencer Long is the class of the seniors on the line, but he's done for the season with a knee injury.
Backup: #20 Louisville at South Florida (12:00 p.m., ESPN2)
Decent opportunity to get a look in at Teddy Bridgewater against a messy USF team.
Tennessee at #1 Alabama (3:30 p.m., CBS)
Tennessee's schedule is brutal, so don't read too much into their 4-3 record. They're not a bad team by any stretch, largely because of their offensive line. And of course Alabama is completely stacked, so getting Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix back is just unfair...although they did lose his safety-mate Vinnie Sunseri for the year with an ACL tear. I hate you, knees.
Backup: #10 Texas Tech at #15 Oklahoma (3:30 p.m., FOX)
Kilff Kingsbury has things rolling in his first year in Lubbock. Had OU gotten through the Red River Shootout unscathed, this could be the game of the day. As it stands, it's still top tier with two top-15 schools. Tech TE Jace Amaro looks like a phenomenal receiving talent, but he's said he's sticking around for his senior year in 2014 so don't expect to see him available in April.
