The St. Louis Rams made it official on Monday morning. Quarterback Sam Bradford has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. The team will place Bradford on the injured reserve list soon.
From the Rams' official statement on Bradford's injury:
An MRI conducted late Sunday evening confirmed that Rams QB Sam Bradford suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during the team's Week 7 contest against the Carolina Panthers. Bradford will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.
Head Coach Jeff Fisher will provide details at his regularly-scheduled Monday news conference, which will take place at 5 p.m. today in the main auditorium at Rams Park.
The next move for the team is finding another quarterback to take Bradford's place on the roster. With just $250,000 in salary cap space, it's unlikely that the team will be adding a veteran ... and it's a pretty thin market for quarterbacks anyway.
