The NFL’s Top 15 Rookies: NFL.com

Tavon Austin was a preseason favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. It’s still not out of reach, but he’s definitely not trending in the right direction. He gets a mention…just not the one he was hoping for. Might Alec Ogletree make the list?

Former Ram, Danny Amendola, Struggling To Stay Healthy: Yahoo! Sports

You remember Danny Amendola, right? The Wes Welker-like receiver who everyone referred to as Sam Bradford’s safety blanket. Amendola and the Rams parted ways during this past offseason. He’s only played in two games [and I don’t mean full games] in 2013. He’s now listed with a concussion. And though we never wish injury upon anyone, it appears the Rams made a wise decision.

Stopping The Run Is The Rams Top Priority: ESPN

You can preach about having turnovers and four every week and scores, but really those games don’t happen all the time. So the games that don’t happen like that, you’ve got to stop the run. You can’t let teams just dictate when and where they’re going to run it. - Rams’ MLB, James Laurinaitis

Week 7 Hot Topics for the Rams [Video] : ESPN

Nick Wagoner covers the team’s ‘hot topics’ heading into Week 7’s matchup against the Panthers. Can the Rams continue to get takeaways? Will Zac Stacy continue to improve the team’s running game?

Seahawks Wide Receiver Percy Harvin To Begin Practicing Next Week: Pro Football Talk

In two weeks the Rams will face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football [Oct. 28]. Percy Harvin, who’s recovering from a hip injury, will start practicing next week. Could he be a factor in the MNF game? Simply put…no.

Michael Brockers Healthy, Productive In Standout Second Season: St. Louis Rams Official Site

Jeff Fisher did not mince words when describing the performance of DT Michael Brockers in the Rams’ 38-13 win over Houston on Sunday. The Rams’ head coach, who is often conservative and measured in praise of his players, chose not shy away from hyperbole when the subject was Brockers.

Studious Ogletree Shows Hard Work Pays: St. Louis Post Dispatch

Alec Ogletree is learning…and it’s dangerous…in a feel-good kind of way.
From watching tape, I knew some of the routes they liked to run. Once I saw the formation and saw the quarterback stare down the receiver, I was able to undercut (the route). ... I knew if I ran hard enough, hopefully I wouldn’t get caught

Veteran safety, Quintin Mikell, played admirably for the Rams during his stay in St. Louis. A free agent in 2013, Mikell and the Rams were unable to come to agreements on a new contract, and after spending a significant amount of time wading in the free agency pool, Mikell found a new home in Carolina. If you miss him, you’ll get to see him this Sunday.

The first bold prediction is that there will be lots of points scored on Sunday. As you read further, you may not like who’s scoring them.

For some reason, the St. Louis Rams blowout victory over the Houston Texans did not seem to resonate with the NFL public-at-large. So, barring the fans in Carolina stealing the spotlight by booing, the Rams should have an opportunity to demand attention by winning their second consecutive road game over the Panthers on Sunday.

First Rounders In Focus: Pro Football Focus

PFF grades each of 2013’s 1st round rookies. Only twelve players received positive marks. Did either of the Rams’ 1st rounders get a passing grade in Week 6?

32 Observations Following Week 6: Pro Football Focus

Defensive tackle Michael Brockers has 13 tackles in the run game. All 13 have been stops. That is tied for the most tackles for all players regardless of position who have had all of their run tackles be stops.

Cam Newton Struggling To Live Up To Expectations: Rams 101

After a stellar rookie season that saw Newton shatter Peyton Manning's NFL rookie record for passing yardage, Newton has struggled to replicate that success. Although in many ways Newton has become a more efficient passer, lowering his number of interceptions, his number of individual touchdowns, both through the air and with his legs, dipped in 2012

Tavon Austin Being "Grossly" Under-used In Rams Offense: Rant Sports

Most of the talk surrounding rookie Tavon Austin has been that he will be more than worth the wait. Many of the pundits around the NFL chalk up his lack of immediate contribution to the St. Louis Rams offensively to his lack of familiarity with the offense and the obvious adjustments that take place from campus life to the 24/7 world of being a professional football player. If that really is the case, however, then why was he only on the field for seven snaps in Week 6?

Jeff Fisher on Playing Cam Newton on Jeff Fisher Show [VIDEO]: ESPN 101

The Rams go offense with the 5th overall pick [via Redskins], and bolster their defense with the 13th pick. It’s not the first time you’ve seen a mock like this, and it probably won’t be the last. I can dig it, though.
