2013 NFL Draft: OG Big Board

Some suggest the Rams have a huge need at offensive guard. 3k and Josh Wehrle rank their top 10 guards ahead of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

While we've got a couple bowl games left on the schedule, the 2012 college football season has ended for the large majority of programs. With draft solidified for so many, pre-combine/pro-day big boards should help set your mocks up at least a bit, no?

I knocked out my offensive tackle board a while back as well as a wide receiver board in mid-December, so check those out first if you're yet to. For the guards, I invited Josh Wehrle to drop his top 10 on me as well (for full disclosure, Josh's board is about three weeks old, but like a good bottle of warm milk, it keeps well). For some perspective, here's Mocking the Draft's OG Big Board from December 13th.

Here's what our boards look like:

# 3k's board (Jan. 3rd) Josh's board (Dec. 12th)
Player School Yr. Player School Yr.
1 Chance Warmack Alabama Sr. Chance Warmack Alabama Sr.
2 Jonathan Cooper UNC RS Sr. Larry Warford Kentucky Sr.
3 Barrett Jones Alabama RS Sr. Jonathan Cooper UNC RS Sr.
4 Larry Warford

5 Travis Frederick Wisconsin RS Jr. Dallas Thomas Tennessee RS Sr.
6 Alvin Bailey Arkansas

7 D.J. Fluker Alabama

8 Gabe Jackson Mississippi St. RS Jr. Cyril Richardson Baylor RS Jr.
9 Cyril Richardson Baylor

10 Spencer Long

* No small school prospects as always, so Cornell's J.C. Tretter and James Madison's Earl Watford don't factor.

A couple agreements in there, so at least Josh and I can remain on amicable terms. Had we disagreed more, I likely would have had to discredit his reputation so soundly, so unrefutably, so wholly abpreposterously that he wouldn't allow himself to even think about big boarding again (NOTE: please read that sentence again in a haughty British accent. It reads better. "Evah to think about big bawding a-gayn.")

No redshirt sophomores made either of our boards, Xavier Su'a-Filo (UCLA) and Brent Benedict (Va. Tech) two of the bigger names who could declare. We did have a couple position moves, however. Frederick's a center at Wisconsin while Fluker and Thomas are both currently tackles.

What do you think we got wrong? Any prospects you'd specifically like for the Rams? Where does offensive guard fit into our needs and where would you like to see the Rams draft one?
