The AFC and NFC Championship games are set to be played in Foxborough and Atlanta, respectively, on Sunday to determine who will represent each conference in Super Bowl XLVII at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 3 in New Orleans.
First, the San Francisco 49ers will travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons 3 p.m. Sunday at the Georgia Dome. The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX. Then the Baltimore Ravens travel to Foxborough to face the New England Patriots at 6:30 p.m. in Gillette Stadium. That game will be broadcast nationally on CBS.
Three of the four teams playing on Sunday played in last year's conference championship games. The AFC Championship game is a rematch of last year's and the San Francisco 49ers have reached the NFC Championship game for the second year in a row, as they were defeated by the Giants last year. The Giants went on to defeat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
