Rob Ryan says that he's talked to nobody, not the St. Louis Rams, no one. Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reported Saturday morning that Ryan is still vacationing and hasn't talked to anyone about a new job.
"I'm on a beach and have talked to nobody and have no comment."
That doesn't necessarily mean his agent hasn't talked to anyone, and we do know that the Rams are interested in the possibility of hiring Ryan as their defensive coordinator, TST was able to confirm that much on Friday night.
In fact, this latest news is a natural course of events from Saturday night's news. Brian Costello of the New York Post reported that it was done. A variety of outlets, including TST, were then able to report that the Rams had not hired Ryan, with two prominent national reporters, Jason LaCanfora of CBS and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, adding that something could still happen.
Made some calls on the Rob Ryan story. From what I gather he is definitely the top choice there but heard no contract with Rams just yet

So nothing is done. Something's happening, but nothing is done. Fisher hired his defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams, pretty quickly after his own hire. In fact, news broke of Fisher being hired on Jan. 13, 2012. The same day there were rumors that Williams would be his defensive coordinator. On Jan. 16, it was reported that Williams had been hired. So this notion that the Rams will move slow on hiring Ryan isn't necessarily accurate.
