It's time for a new Sunday morning tradition here at TST in honor of a brand new era of St. Louis Rams football. We're going to take our predictions posts to a whole new level, or at least in a different direction. Ahead of Sunday's game, which starts at Noon, we're going to try and predict some firsts.
In the comments below, I want you to predict three things:
1. The first offensive play the Rams will run
2. The first player on defense to make a tackle
3. The first player to score a touchdown
There are a couple rules here to consider.
When predicting the play, be as specific as possible. Don't just give us a "run" or "pass." Tell us slant from Amendola or Steven Jackson runs over the right guard. From there, you can be as specific as possible.
For predicting the first tackle, predict the defensive player, not special teams, to make the first tackle. We won't try to force you to predict the opposing offense's first play.
You can predict no touchdown if you want. Predict the player who scores it, and if it's a passing play, put the QB in there too.
Use these for your predictions in the comments:
First Offensive Play:
First Defensive Tackle:
First Touchdown:
Here are my predictions:
First Offensive Play: Steven Jackson runs over the left guard
First Defensive Tackle: WLB Jo-Lonn Dunbar
First Touchdown: Sam Bradford hits Lance Kendricks on a crossing route in the endzone
