St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson is officially listed as a game-time decision for this week's game against the Chicago Bears. Jackson missed practice all week because of a groin injury sustained last week against the Washington Redskins. Now, there are signs that he might not play this week.
#Rams Steven Jackson is a gametime decision, but close team source says "you can speculate" he won't go. 2 games in 11 days, aftr today

Hmm. It's hard to know. Head coach Jeff Fisher made it clear this week that Jackson was under no sort of practice-to-play rules, the running back being a veteran and knowledgeable of the offensive system. An MRI early in the week came back all clear for Jackson.
Dales is referring to the Rams' Week 4 game at home against the Seahawks followed in Week 5 by a Thursday night game against the Cardinals.
I initially thought that this was maybe just psychological gamesmanship, and maybe it still is. The coaches are more than confident in Daryl Richardson to carry the workload, along with a rotation of Isaiah Pead and bowling ball Terrance Ganaway.
