This little community of Rams fans just keeps growing and growing. When we first hung up our shingle we were lucky to get 200 visits a day, much less any discussion going. In the years since, we've become a tight-knit community of commiseration. That's finally changing too as the Rams have finally hit on a winning formula. We're still growing, and I expect to grow more. I also need to tell you about some important changes that will make this site even better.
We're going to have a radical new look very soon, and I wanted to give you a sneak peak (er, peek, was thinking about the photo above, grrrrrr!).
Here's an example, based on the LA Lakers blog:
A big part about this change is that it allows us to feature our content in a much more logical way. Rather than big features getting pushed down the page for injury reports and pictures of Sam Bradford as a Muppet, this system will make sure we get all that on there while still featuring the work that's generating the discussion or being read by the most people. See below for some more examples of the different covers we can put on the site.
It also means that the site will load fast and perform better for you. Not that it was necessarily bad before, but this will significantly improve that.
Community content, fanposts and fanshots will still be there. In fact, this change will allow us to better integrate that into the main editorial flow, highlighting the best work from the community.
Also, our growth in mobile and tablets is exploding, and the new design is about improving the experience for those folks as well.
