The St. Louis Rams sent another player to injured reserve on Tuesday. Rookie guard Rokevious Watkins was placed on IR, a move that corresponded with the return of wide receiver Austin Pettis.
Pettis finished his four-game suspension, having served two game last season. Watkins cracked the starting lineup in Detroit last week when the Rams were forced to move Robert Turner to center to replace Scott Wells.
It's a tough break for Watkins, who recovered from a slow start to training camp to play his way into the mix for a starting job.
That's tough man. That's real tough.........

Two games into the season, the Rams already have some issues with depth on the offensive line. Wells is out until at least Week 7. Rodger Saffold will stay on the 53-man roster, but cannot play for at least a month. So far, the backups have done an outstanding job for the Rams. That was clear on Sunday against the Redskins. The problem is that the Rams have sustained all the injuries they can really withstand to the offensive line before it really gets to be a problem.
