Rams QB Sam Bradford Up For NFL Weekly Award

Presswire

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford had a very good game last week. As a result, Bradford is up for the FedEx Air NFL Player Of The Week Award. The Rams quarterback is one of three players up the weekly award. Our opinion is that he is clearly the most deserving.

Bradford finished Sunday's game 26-for-35 with 310 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. His 117.6 QB rating was the highest of his career, and this game easily ranks among the best Bradford has played since being drafted first overall in 2010.

His 74.3 percent completion rate is the third-best single game mark of his career. Here's one of the biggest surprises for Bradford, a quarterback who has been mostly tasked, forced to throw a dink and dunk passing game:

  • His average yards per attempt was 8.86 yards.
  • His adjusted average yards per attempt was 9.29 yards.

His Y/A is a new career-high. His AY/A is second only to the three-touchdown performance he had against the Broncos in his rookie season, the only other time he's thrown for three touchdown passes.

Go vote for Bradford.
