Game day. The St. Louis Rams open their season at home on Sunday afternoon with a headline game against the Washington Redskins, the team that traded them a boatload of draft picks in the spring. Now, Washington has quarterback Robert Griffin III and more headlines than they know what to do with.
The Rams are trying to make headlines again themselves, attempting to find the winning ways that have avoided them for so many years, so so many years. And why not start today?
Washington leads the Rams in the history of the series with a 24-10-1 record. On the Rams' many home fields over the decades, the Rams have a 6-13-1 record.
BUT TODAY IS MUSTACHE DAY! Wear your fake mustache and will the Rams to a win by follicle power!
Odds makers have moved the line to 3.5 points in favor of the Redskins. That's actually up from an opening line of 3 points ... and I'm not sure where that comes from in the last six days.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. It will be broadcast on Fox, manned by the broadcast crew of Chris Myers and Tim Ryan.
Keep checking back, we'll have plenty more for you to get ready for the game.
