It's time for some Thursday night football. This is relatively new. The NFL started showing Thursday Night Football games this season in a new early season package on their own Network. The whole point is designed to sell off the package at a later date to another cable company, thereby fattening up the league's golden goose of television rights.

Of course, the NFL Network could just keep it and start demanding cable providers offer their network at a premium. Either way, more prime time football!

Don't forget, the Rams will play both the Packers and the Bears this season. They travel to Chicago in Week 3. We'll have lots more on this game specifically at SB Nation, from highlights to news to lots of great animated GIFs for your pleasure.

Tomorrow on this little site, we've got preview stuff out the wazoo for the Rams game this week against RGIII and the Redskins, including matchups and previews.
