The Washington Redskins practiced on Wednesday without the services of wide receiver Pierre Garcon. His absence could deal a big blow to the Washington offense, not to mention a break for the St. Louis Rams this week.
RGIII targeted Garcon four times last week. Three of those passes were of the shorter variety, but he hit him for 20 yards over the top which Garcon then proceeded to take all the way to the end zone for an 88-yard touchdown that was Griffin's first. Watch the video:
Garcon caught all four of the passes thrown his way last week, and was well on his way to an even bigger day that the 109-yard, one touchdown performance before a foot injury sent him to the sidelines. X-Rays on his foot were negative, so unlike Rams center Scott Wells, he did not suffer a fracture.
Keep an eye on the injury reports Thursday and Friday. If Garcon sits those two days, it makes it far less likely that he will play this Sunday in St. Louis.
