The St. Louis Rams have yet to announce their full list of roster cuts, but a few details are trickling in as to the shape of the depth chart. Quarterback Austin Davis did make the final cut for the 53-man roster. Rookie cornerback Trumaine Johnson has secured the team's third corner role.
Davis' former college offensive coordinator at Southern Mississippi, now at UNC, tweeted the news.
Congrats to my boy AUSTIN DAVIS for making the 53 man roster with St Louis Rams today... Hardest working dude I've ever coached !!!

Not a huge surprise. Davis had an outstanding preseason, and has enough talent to keep around as a developmental third quarterback.
The Post-Dispatch reported the news about Johnson. With Cortland Finnegan, the Rams' third corner will spend a fair amount of time on the outside because Finnegan is a stellar nickle corner who can also be used as a blitzer from that spot.
The PD has a few more names that could also be cut, but are not confirmed. There are not really many surprises on that list except seventh-round pick linebacker Aaron Brown. The Hawaii product has done well on special teams, and the Rams are thin at outside linebacker. The cut could be between Brown and Justin Cole.
