St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brian Quick is dealing with back spasms and nothing more serious, said head coach Jeff FIsher. Quick left the game in the fourth quarter to get x-rays on his back, giving the Rams a sacre after being relatively injury free in training camp and the preseason.

Quick finished the game with three catches for 20 yards. He played fine, a solid effort, but it was reminder that practice field highlights translate a little differently when the hitting starts.
St. Louis is counting on Quick to contribute this season, after using the first pick in the second round of the draft on the Appalachian State product. His roster spot is safe, but he may have a long road until he is taking many reps with the first team.
Either way, the Rams seemed to have escaped their second preseason game relatively healthy.
