The St. Louis Rams play their second of four preseason games on Saturday night. This one, against the Kansas City Chiefs, is their first inside the Edward Jones Dome, a facility that may or may not look a little better a few years from now. Hopefully, the team that calls the Dome home looks a little better than it did in their last preseason outing, a drubbing at the hands of the Colts.
Kansas City had a much better preseason debut with head coach Romeo Crennel now working without the interim tag on his title. They had running back Jamaal Charles back in action after he missed almost all of last season. Quarterback Matt Cassel, who also missed most of 2011, was sharp in two series of play, completing 5-of-6 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.
St. Louis won the Governor's Cup game last year, part of their 4-0 trek through the preseason. As more than a few players have said since then, you know how that turned out.
Game Date/Time: Saturday, August 18; 8:00 p.m. ET
Location: Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, Mo.
TV Schedule: KCTV 5 (Kansas City), KTVI 2 (St. Louis)
