Good morning! I'm not sure if you have heard, but judging from all the adds that SBNation has generously spread, I think you have, our own Douglas M has written a novel! Devin Briar is available for purchase in many different forms already. The book is hilarious and Doug is a top nouch writer and editor. I strongly suggest you all purchase a copy. Also, a big congratulations to Doug and a huge thank you for all you do behind the scenes to help me and other writers improve our craft. Hell of a guy that Doug.
On to the links!
The Rams will not play in London in 2013 or 2014, will still play against the Patriots this season
In January the Rams agreed to play in London for three strait years, giving up a home game each season. It was seen as a bold move by many. On one hand, the Rams would have a chance to become England's team and grow thier international brand. On the other, it pissed many season ticket holders off and it made many in St. Louis worry about the team's commitment to the city.
"We're committed to working with the city to find a first-tier solution," Demoff said. "We have said we need our actions to speak louder than our words, and this action today should show St. Louis we care about getting this right."
The Rams players believe in Fisher
Here's pretty much all you need from this awesome Chicago Tribune piece...
Several hours after Steve Spagnoulo was dismissed as head coach of the Rams, Sam Bradford, Chris Long and James Laurinaitis marched up the stairs at Russell Athletic Training Center and knocked on the door of team vice president Kevin Demoff.
"If we have a vote," Long told Demoff, "we vote Jeff Fisher."
The Rams players wanted Fisher. They got Fisher. Jeff Fisher's experience and pedigree is already making a huge impact on the Rams. It may not have starting like most would have liked, but Jeff Fisher is tied in 3rd for the most wins among active coaches. He knows how to build a winning team and he knows how to run a team.
Chad Johnson's cut was shown on Hard Knocks
Chad "Ochocinco" was cut by the Dolphins after he was arrested for domestic violence against his wife, who has now filed for divorce. The talk he had with head coach Joe Philbin was shown on Hard Knocks and the dialouge is in the linked article. I almost feel sorry that Chad's release was shown on Hard Knocks, but then I remembered, he doesn't deserve better.
Sam Bradford wasn't at his best Sunday, though he didn't play horribly. 7-9 for 59 yards is adequate, but he more or less managed the game. He never connected on a deep throw or made a wow pass. When the Rams take on the Chiefs Saturday, the entire Edward Jones Dome will be waiting for it. It's on Sam to deliver.
Video of the week.
That's all for today. Have a good one and GO RAMS!
