The St. Louis Rams signed their first-round pick on Thursday. First-round pick Michael Brockers is now the seventh player from the team's 2012 draft class, a group of 10 players, to sign a deal. The Rams made the announcement on Thursday afternoon.
Brockers was the 14th pick, acquired after the Rams traded with the Dallas Cowboys from the sixth spot in the first round.
A redshirt sophomore from LSU, Brockers surprised more than a few draft watchers when he decided to enter the 2012 NFL Draft. Rams head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead were high on Brockers early in the lead up to the draft. In the days after the draft, they even revealed that they would have been comfortable selecting him with the sixth overall pick.
Only Brian Quick, Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson are unsigned at this point. Deals should be coming pretty quickly for those three players.
