The site of Danario Alexander on the sidelines while the St. Louis Rams practice is nothing new. Alexander has yet to play a full season after two years with the team, and the Mizzou product has missed most of the team's workouts in OTAs and minicamp dealing with a hamstring issue. DX was in action with his teammates on Wednesday, flashed the ability that has made him one of the more intriguing players on the roster these last two years.
Alexander could be seen snagging a few deep passes from Sam Bradford out of the air. Head coach Jeff Fisher took notice.
"Sam (Bradford) put up a couple deep ones and he went up and made the catch," Fisher said. "It's good to get him back. He was dealing with a minor hamstring and we got him back on the field. He can elevate and make those plays. It's good to see it."
A healthy Alexander would be a fine addition to the Rams offense, especially since the addition of Chris Givens and Brian Quick figure to eat into his potential snaps. Of course, the first step for DX will be making the final cut come September. If he can stay on the field, that might be a foregone conclusion.
