Orientation is over. On Tuesday, the St. Louis Rams' rookies, fresh off their two day "orientation," get mixed in with the big boys as the team starts full squad OTAs.
The Rams have three days of OTAs schedule this week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week and the same for next week. As for what they'll be doing during organized team activities, well, the players figure to very busy.
"As we told the varsity this past week, we're going to start again from Day One with the installation, and by the time we're done in mid-June, we will have installed absolutely everything," said head coach Jeff Fisher. "Then we're going to do it again when training camp starts. So when they come and report to training camp, they'll know exactly what to expect through camp. The only difference is we're going to put some pads on at times."
Tuesday's OTAs are closed to the media. The Wednesday and Friday practices, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., are open to the media. Fisher and players will speak following those sessions. OTAs pick up again next month, with sessions scheduled for June 5-8. After that, it's summer break.
We'll have reactions from practice right here on the site.
