Will not be defeated picked Riley Reiff for the Dolphins in the first round. He's back and he's picking:

Vinny Curry, DE, Marshall

Pick Grade:

B

"Unless Matt Moore, David Garrard and Pat Devlin get you excited, the Dolphins need a QB. In hindsight, I should have taken Ryan Tannehill in the first round, but at the time of the first pick I thought that the Dolphins would secure the signature of Manning or Flynn in FA. The need for a QB doesn’t mean I am going to reach for a QB now though. The Dolphins also need another edge rusher so I have taken the best DE left on the board and made the Dolphins an early entry for the Matt Barkley/Landry Jones sweepstakes."

Analysis after the jump

I like Vinny Curry here, but Will not be defeated is right in thinking the Dolphins need to find a QB. It's not even funny at this point. I like them taking Reiff and now Curry, who I think is a good pass rushing prospect. Is he the complete DE? No. But the Dolphins, for better and most likely worse, are still stuck without a QB.

If I made the choice for the Dolphins here, I'd think very hard about picking Brandon Weeden. I don't care if he's 29; the Dolphins need to find someone to help them out. Still, I can't complain with the pick. The Dolphins are better because of it, just maybe not in the right position. Waiting for Matt Barkley next year just isn't my style.
