The St. Louis Rams selected Hawaii linebacker Aaron Brown with the second pick in the 7th round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Brown is the first linebacker picked by the Rams in the draft. Outside linebacker is a big need for the team. Whether or not Brown can fill that need as a rookie will depend.
Brown stands 6'0" tall and weighs 237 pounds. He was an All-WAC first team linebacker in 2011. Brown finished the season with 103 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks and three interceptions. He ran a 4.55 forty at his pro day event earlier in the spring.
This is the second year in a row that the Rams have drafted a player from Hawaii.
The Rams have one more pick left to make in the final round of the draft, the 252nd pick, second to last, a compensatory selection added earlier in the month.
