The Rams traded down out of the 6th spot to 14th and picked up an additional 2nd round pick from the Dallas Cowboys and with that pick he St. Louis Rams selected Michael Brockers, DT, LSU.

The pick of Brockers is one that was made mostly because of his potential, as he isn't a complete player yet. He is especially raw as a pass rusher, but he has the potential to be one of the best DTs in the NFL.

Right away Brockers will improve the Rams leaky run defense. That is the area that he excels. He will also be able to stop linemen from reaching the 2nd level, which will be a big help to James Laurnaitis.

He will also be joining a defensive line that looks rather impressive now. The Rams have two good pass rushing ends in Chris Long and Robert Quinn, and with the addition of Kendall Langford and Michael Brockers, the defensive line could wreck havoc on NFL West QBs for years.

Welcome to the Rams Michael Brockers. We here at TST are happy to have you.
