(cross-posted from Mocking the Draft)
Oh, how a year changes things.
Back in May of last year, I dropped a two-round mock. Despite my proclamation that every pick would bear out, I think it's fair to say that Jerel Worthy won't be the #2 overall pick. I'll have my 2013 mock out not too long after we close out the 2012 NFL Draft coverage, but here's my final mock for the first three rounds of this year's franchise-changing event.
No trades, no gimmicks, just general mock: who I think a team will pick + who they should pick + what players have value + media rumors. You know, a mock draft.
And one last note: this is a super serious exercise, you guys. You don't like who your team picks after the jump? I'm an imbecile. Your GM never picks a (insert position here) in the (insert ordinal number) round? I have no idea what I'm talking about. Remember, you can identify every pick in the first three rounds. I'm the idiot who doesn't understand you.
Round 1
1.) Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck: QB, Stanford
2.) Washington Redskins (via St. Louis Rams)- Robert Griffin III: QB, Baylor
2.9375 more rounds of mock after the jump.
3.) Minnesota Vikings - Matt Kalil: OT, USC
I think by the time they're on the clock, the chance to grab an OT of Kalil's caliber on the left side is just too hard to pass up.
4.) Cleveland Browns - Trent Richardson: RB, Alabama

6.) Rams (via Redskins) - Fletcher Cox: DT, Mississippi St.

I would gladly pay $100 for Stephen Ross to take the mic after the pick, give the Rozay "ROSS!" and drop the mic.

Weapons for Cam Newton? Could be a scary team in 2012.
