You're probably just coming out of a fog, waking up not so fresh and clear after celebrating another 4/20. Yeah, we know our audience. Shame on you. You're draft stock is bound to tumble. Now that you've pulled yourself together, slid some pants on and tried to put on a respectable facade, how about some breakfast links, some tasty morsels of delicious draft talk to get you through the morning.
I thought you'd agree. Hey, be sure to follow us on Twitter @TurfShowTimes, I'll be live on the scene in NYC next week covering the NFL Draft and sundry other activities related to it.
Steven Jackson talks cutting dreadlocks - Is Steven Jackson cutting his dreads? No, don't worry. Not yet. Jackson said that he plans to cut his dreads when he retires, marking a new chapter in his life. Fortunately for Rams fans, he's not planning to retire anytime soon.\
No checklist for Gregg Williams' return - Like most NFL disciplinary situations, there are no specifics for Gregg Williams to get back to coaching. Out indefinitely for his role in the Saints bounty program, he has been talking t the league about what he needs to do to get back into the business. Wait. And don't screw up. Those seem to be the most important factors on his list.
New Rams linebacker praises Gregg Williams - Jo-Lonn Dunbar, the Rams newest linebacker and a former Saint, praised his old coach, Gregg Williams. Dunbar said that Williams was a "good guy" and noted his off-field personality. Good guy or not, he screwed up, and will be spending a long time atoning for it.
Fletcher's recovery ahead of schedule - Cornerback Bradley Fletcher is ahead of schedule on his recovery from last year's ACL tear, his second ACL tear in three years. He does not have medical clearance, but did some light drill work in camp last week. As far his return, Fletcher himself says that he should be ready for training camp. The Rams will hope so, but player self-diagnosis always runs a tad on the optimistic side.
The Rams Path To The Draft - Defensive Tackle - Tim Shields takes a look at the defensive tackles in the draft and why the Rams need to consider taking one of those players. Check it out.
Trade winds blow thanks to rookie 'slotting' system - There's no question that NFL owners got a hell of a deal in the new CBA. One of the biggest gets was the new rookie pay scale, which really is a smart thing that will, ideally, foster a more competitive league. As for that money going to back to veterans ... just ask all the unsigned free agents, the middle tier guys who are finding themselves with fewer and fewer job opportunities than they used to get. Anyway, the league expects more trading to happen during the draft this year.
