The St. Louis Rams are interested in other players besides Trent Richardson, Justin Blackmon, etc. Those potential picks have been parsed and perused since January. There isn't much left to say. With less than two weeks until the draft, the later round picks are where the action is now. According to Tony Pauline of SI.com, the Rams, along with the Patriots, have their eyes on a defensive end out of West Virginia.
You thought I was going to say Bruce Irvin, but he's not a late-round pick. No, I'm talking about Julian Miller.
MIller decimated Pittsburgh in a break out game last season when he recorded 12 tackles and four sacks. Injuries sullied most of his last season with the Mountaineers. The year before he was a first-team all-Big East defensive end with nine sacks and 14 tackles for a loss.
He's been a fan favorite there, probably because he says things like this in the press when asked about his feelings on quarterbacks:
I don't like them. I try to let them know it with my pads rather than my mouth.
After the jump, some Miller highlights.
Listen, I'll be the first to tell you not to read too much into a fan highlight reel. Still, with a chance to make good on late round picks under the new regime at Rams Park, guys like Miller add some excitement to the draft process.
