We took a break yesterday to discuss the infamous Gregg Williams scandal that has so riveted the national media. I picked Cordy Glenn for the Chargers two days ago, and today it's the Cardinals turn. Was2234 picks:

Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State

Pick Grade:
B+ |
"The Cardinals, much like the Rams, have a major weakness at tackle. In an already deep draft with linemen I felt trading down was best. Adams could be a stretch at this point but has the size and body to be an elite tackle in the NFL, and I don't think highly of Riley Rieff to stay at the 13 spot even though he was selected. Adams does come with some drama but overall he could be an elite talent. He can provide an instant impact at tackle and could be switched to right tackle rather than left.
This fills a huge void for the Cardinals and most of the other positions are just lacking depth but OL is a major need and Adams can step in and make an instant impact at whatever position he's put at."

Analysis after the jump.
I agree with with was2234 in that I'm unsure about Mike Adams. We've all seen first hand what can happen if tackle prospects fail develop. However, the Cardinals desperately need offensive line help and Adams is probably the best pick they can make here.
Kudos to was2234 for trading down and adding a 4th rounder this year and a 5th next year to select the same position they would have anyway. Yes, Jonathan Martin probably would have been the pick at 13 (he was taken 16th overall by the Jets)...but you want those extra picks.
